Media and Film Cases

In media and film litigation our attorneys have recently represented:

A television producer who sued Court TV for canceling a "reality TV" series without paying the required kill fee.

Television and film producer Martin Ransahoff in a lawsuit against Paramount for breach of contract.

A video producer who sued a law firm for malpractice arising out of miscalculated royalty payments.

Sarnoff Paramount Pathe News Images, Inc., the Sarnoff family, and the former International President of CNN Superchannel against several companies and their executives who fraudulently conveyed a large and valuable film library through complex international business transactions.   We compelled the return of this unique film library -- which contains the 20th Century history of the United States on 20 million feet of film -- to our clients.  We also obtained a court judgment exceeding $16 million for our clients.

Copyright owners in claims against dozens of Hollywood film companies who misappropriated film footage without paying royalties.

Television and film studio employees who sued 20th Century Fox Film Corporation and Fox Digital for a variety of unfair business practices.
